Tunku Halim is a Malaysian-born writer of horror, science fiction, and fantasy. He is also said to be
the best known national writer for contemporary Malaysian horror in English. He is also called as " Prince of Dark Fantasy" because he specializes in writing horror stories. Many of his horror stories can be found from his collection of short stories titled " Bloodhaze 15 Chilling Tales.Tunku Halim concedes that some of his stories are “rather ghastly”. He prefers the(Edgar Allen) Poe-like phrase‘tales of darkness and imagination’ or the more succinct but less accurate ‘dark fantasy’. Tunku Halim started writing when he was 14. There is a recent post featuring a scanned copy of Tunku Halim's short story. The story, type-written on a piece of yellowing paper covered in stains(one blotch looks suspiciously like blood!), the story is titled"The Things in the Jungle" and features a vampire.
